Project Description
This continuously evolving material practice, Black Contemporary: Chiaroscuro and Latent Atmospheres, by Peter P. Goché draws on studies in architecture, art and anthropology. It is driven by the nascent possibility of a persistent desire to intercourse with existing material surrounds pursuant a philosophical position that leverages perceptual notions of chiaroscuro. The site also serves as laboratory for students who wish to conduct independent, parallel studies under Gochés advisement. The subsequent works provoke a temporal-spatial encounter fueled by a desire to understand the simultaneous and complex nature of cerebral and corporeal experience.
