Simonson has been involved from the beginning of the project working on the site master plan and the landscaping plan. Twelve structures have been built on the remaining West Glen property and Simonson has been the architect for nine of those including: the six buildings that constitute the Avenue of the Arts; the Keystone, a mixed use focal point at the north terminus of West Glen Drive w/51 apartments over 30,000 SF of commercial space and below grade parking: the Promenade Plaza, a 100,000 SF, 4 story commercial building; and the Forum, an entertainment venue. The West Des Moines development has become an entertainment destination with 10 dining and nightspot locations.
